After breakfast, you will travel to Murchison Falls National Park, one of the most popular National Parks in Uganda. This 384000-hectare Protected Area is famous for being home to the World’s most powerful waterfalls and is one of the best places in the country to enjoy unforgettable game viewing experiences.

Day 3: Discover Murchison: Morning game drive and afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the falls

Your Tour continues before sunrise. Animals are most active in the early and late hours of the day. Lucky visitors might even get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of witnessing animals (especially lions and leopards) hunting during these hours. For instance, you will be amazed by a lion hunting and killing a Uganda Kob, or a leopard stealthily tracking down a bushbuck. This adventure lasts 3-4 hours and includes a picnic coffee break in the midst of the wilderness. Afterwards, return to the Lodge for brunch and continue with your adventure in the afternoon.

Spend the better part of the afternoon traversing the Victoria Nile waters and banks on a boat ride. This activity lasts 2-3 hours and goes towards the bottom of the Murchison Falls. While animals, especially Hippos, Nile crocodiles, and elephants, will spice up your experience, the view of the Murchison Falls will take your breath away. Also expect different bird species that include Pink-backed pelicans, African fish eagles, and others.

Afterwards, you will drive to the top of the falls if it was missed on the previous day.

Traverse savannah landscapes, where you will find large herds of African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Topis, Jackson’s hartebeests, and other wildlife species roaming the open plains. The game drive lasts anywhere between three and four hours, with a picnic breakfast in between to refresh. Have lunch and siesta at the Lodge before continuing with your afternoon adventure.

In the afternoon, you will venture out on a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel to spot Nile crocodiles, Hippos, and elephant herds along the banks of the channel.
